Important Announcements

• PIRATEMAIL - Your AASU Student Email Account: At AASU, each student is assigned an email account so we can provide you with important information concerning admission, financial aid, advisement and registration, fee payment student records, and graduation. All students are required to have an AASU email account. You can forward your PIRATEMAIL to your personal email address, but you must remember to reassign it if you change your personal email account.

  Check your PIRATEMAIL account often. For more information and instructions regarding student email, visit www.sts.armstrong.edu/resources.

• Health Fee: Beginning fall semester, 2004, AASU instituted a student health fee that enables the University Health Clinic (UHC) to provide health promotion programs, education, and routine health care. The Health Fee is mandatory for all students. The fee will appear as a line item on your tuition bill. The Student Health Fee is $11.00 per semester and is charged to all students who take on-campus courses. MORE INFORMATION

• Parking Fee: Students who park their vehicles on the AASU campus must purchase a parking decal. Students may only park in STUDENT designated spaces. Funds raised from these sales will be used to pay for new parking, maintenance of current parking, and general parking operations. Decals are issued on an academic year basis and expire August 31st. • Remember to change your PIN: Initially, each student at AASU is assigned a PIN (Personal Identification Number) set to his or her 6-digit date of birth (MMDDYY). This number is used in conjunction with your Student ID # to gain access to all online applications accessed through S.H.I.P. We encourage all users to change their PIN for added security. DO NOT share your PIN information with anyone. To change your PIN, select the Personal Information menu option once you have logged into S.H.I.P. When choosing a new PIN, please select a number, which you can remember, since it will be needed for future access to all online AASU applications. If you experience problems logging onto S.H.I.P., please contact the Registrar's Office at (912) 927-5275.

• New Regents' Test Registration System: AASU will launch a Web-Based Regents' Test Registration System during Advance Registration for spring semester 2005. When students with the appropriate number of credit hours log in to SHIP, they will be automatically routed into a Regents' Test registration window to sign up for the next test session. • New Recreation Fee: As previously approved by the University and the SGA, a recreation fee of $ 30 per term will be initiated starting Spring 2006.
